NATIVITY Salve {Limited Edition}
I formulated this skin loving "Nativity Blend" with Yarrow, Frankincense, Lavender & Myrrh to make a meaningful gift that's perfect for the Christmas Season! We all know the Savior is the "Balm of Gilead"... making this "skin healing balm" a gift that reminds us all what the REAL reason for the season is!
ABOUT THIS SALVE... Yarrow is a powerhouse infection fighter, pain-reliever and skin healer. Frankincense and Lavender are anti-bacterial, known widely for their wound healing properties, they both aid in reduction of redness, relieve skin irritations, and are known analgesics! Myrrh, packed with anti-oxidants, makes it an exceptional addition to this blend for it's skin rejuvination, cellular support, and wound treatment properties!
In our home... We use it to sooth and heal bug bites, stings, scrapes, cuts, burns, scars, cracks, dry/chaffed skin, dry elbows, diaper rash, rashes and general skin conditions, sore hangnails, weird dry spots, and more! Yarrow is both analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial making this salve an infection fighter and pain reducer. In our home, we consider it an all-purpose skin healing balm - it's packed with minerals and vitamins as well which promotes general healing for MANY skin conditions.*

- It's green... will it stain? I've used this salve repeatedly and have never had any clothing stain. However... I probably wouldn't use it while in my wedding dress, and definitely don't send it through the laundry! {wink, wink!}
A NOTE ABOUT MY SALVES:
My salves are released in small homemade batches after a special (and proprietary) infusion process that took me 6 years to develop! My goal is to move as much of the natural medicinal goodness as I can from the herbs into the oil... and the result is a whole line of salves that have been uniquely currated to be surprisingly effective! In our home, we grab a salve before we EVER pop a pill!
ABOUT YARROW: Yarrow grows all over the world in meadows, grasslands, mountains and foothills! It is PACKED with medicinal benefits... and when applied as a salve, it's a skin healing bombshell! It's antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial which helps prevent infection, reduce pain (particularly throbbing) and speeds the healing of minor skin wounds and irritations. It's EXCELLENT for healing acne, it's magical for warts and is also known to improve the appearance of vericose viens when used regularly!
ABOUT FRANKINCENSE: Frankincense Oil is prepared from the hardened gum resins that come from tapping Boswellia trees. It has anti-bacterial properties, is known widely for its wound healing properties, it reduces redness, relieves irritations, and is a known analgesic (or pain reliever)!
ABOUT LAVENDER: Besides its divine aroma, it's widely know for its anti-microbial properties and has been used for centuries to fight infection. It's full of anti-oxidants which contribute to it's ability to speed the healing of burns, cuts and wounds by accelerating skin re-generation. It's a natural pain reliever and reduces inflammation!
ABOUT MYRRH: Myrrh is a sap collected from tapping the Commiphora Myrrha tree. It naturally inhibits microbial growth and is packed with anti-oxidants, making it an exceptional addition to this blend for its skin rejuvination and wound treatment properties.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE? The shelf life of my salves is 1-2 years; however you'll enjoy the most medicinal benefit within the first year.

HOW MUCH SALVE SHOULD I USE? In general, consider using a "small glop" the size of a pump or two of lotion and apply over the affected area 2-3x daily as needed (use less if it's a tiny area, of course)! In general, a minor topical skin issue will use much less salve than a joint or muscle issue where you are massaging the salve in. See my website or check your product label for specific application recommendations.

ARE SALVES SAFE FOR BABIES & SENSITIVE SKIN? Many of my close friends and family use my salves on themselves and their families regularly with great success and confidence. Just like with ANY new skin care product, there is always a potential for allergies or irritation... so test a small area first before using regularly or on a larger area. If you have KNOWN allergies, take note of the ingredient list provided on each label. And, of course, discontinue use if any kind of reaction or irritation occurs. Salves with menthol crystals, camphor, peppermint and eucalyptus are NOT intended for young children and babies.
- A NOTE ABOUT CONSISTENCY: Depending on the temperatures where you live, your salve will arrive with a general consistency between a neosporin-type oinment and a slightly firm vaseline. Softness of the salve will vary based on your particular climate and seasonal temperature. Since the salve contains beeswax, avoid leaving in a hot car or in the sun to prevent melting. Your tin will be shrink wrapped to prevent any dripping if it does happen to soften during transit. If melting does occur, simply put it in the refrigerator to return it to its normal consistency.
